Trips to Fit in with Flight/Ferry Arrival/Departures
If you want a trip on the day of your arrival in Stewart Island
you need to book in advance as our tours start before the first
plane and ferry arrives to Stewart Island. We do operate afternoon
tours to Ulva Island subject to demand and we may also be able
to tailor trip start/end times to fit in with your travel plans
if we have advance notice.
- Booking
Office
Our
booking office is situated 20 -
30 minutes walk out of the small village of Oban in Stewart Island,
please remember we do not operate through
another booking office in Stewart Island or Bluff - you will need
to contact us directly. This month our office is open from
8.00 am to 5.30 pm.
We
plan to open daily, however there may be days during Winter when
the office is closed, but you will still be able to phone us.
We take after hours calls to 9.00 pm.
- Bookings
for 2008/9 Season
We have started taking booking for the next season. Please make
sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment - we are a small
business and bookings are taken on a first come basis.
- What's
happening with our Birds and Plants
On
a recent trip to Ulva Island, we recorded 19 species of birds
over 2 hours, this is comparable to trips during the peak season.
Orchids
are currently out of season and most trees/plants are not in flower,
but our evergreen forest looks terrific all year round.
