We are coming into our main season (September to April). PRIOR BOOKINGS ARE RECOMMENDED. Please make sure you pre-book any tours prior to your visit to Stewart Island to avoid disappointment. Our office is manned everyday and if you call and we are out, please leave a message with clear contact details or send an email.

We are available for a variety of guided activities. We have lots of tour options and can operate a number of tours subject to bookings and numbers. Ulva Island - Birds & Forest is our most popular tour along with Kiwi Journey and Island Culture Shuttle Tour. We offer a Pelagic Birding tour and a cruise in Paterson Inlet, Inlet & Bays Discovery Cruise.

To ensure that our Visitors are always receiving accurate and upto date information about our comprehensive tours and services and that you are not restricted by accommodation venues, we wish to notify our Visitors that:

- We no longer operate through information centres or the New Zealand I-Site Network.

- We do not operate through any so called "Visitor Centre", Booking Office or "Information Centre" in Bluff or Stewart, including the flight/ferry centres or competitor booking offices. Please note there is no longer an independent Visitor Centre or Visitor Information Centre in Stewart Island.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Our "Birds & Forest Booking Office" is situated at Corner Main Road and Dundee Street, a central location in Oban Village, Halfmoon Bay. We are also operating this as a travel agency "Stewart Island Travel & Activities" for travel, accommodation and activities needs and as Outdoor Adventure Shop to hire and sell outdoor clothing & equipment.

It is only 1/2 minute walk from the Department of Conservation Office, approx. 3 1/2 minutes walk from the flight and ferry centres.
