visiting Stewart Island. Our office is manned
everyday (7.30 am to 8.00 pm, sometimes if it is quiet we may finish at 7.00 pm to get a rest).

WEATHER / SEASON
About six weeks of warm to hot weather, mostly settled followed by a change during mid-January 2012 to unsettled weather (at times windy, calm, rainy, dry, sunny, cool to cold).
IMPORTANT
Several cruise ships have or are planning to visit Stewart Island / Ulva Island. The dates are:
13th February 2012 - Albatros (800 passenger capacity)
13th and 18th February 2012 - Oceanic Discoverer (72 passenger capacity)
11th and 12th March 2012 - The World (residency vessel)
We have capacity to conduct tours on any of the dates listed above as we are not contracted or not fully contracted by the Cruise Ship or their Agents. Please contact us if you are planning to visit on any of the dates listed above.
FEBRUARY 2012
All key tours are operating subject to bookings and minimum numbers.
Ulva Island Birds & Forest or Ulva Island Birding Guided Walks are operating most days where there is a minimum of 2 persons.
Island Culture Scenic Road Tour is also operating most days where there are a minimum of 2 persons.
Coastal Highlights a cruise then a guided coastal walk on the Rakiura Track, available subject to bookings.
We are
available for a variety of guided activities. We have lots of tour
options and can operate a number of tours subject to bookings and

HOW TO MAKE BOOKINGS & ENQUIRIES
We want you to receive accurate and upto
date information about our comprehensive tours and services and any one-off and special tours that we may have on offer. So that you do not miss out, we advise you that:
- We only operate through our own Booking Office in Stewart Island, which is 1/2 minute walk
from the Department of Conservation Office, approx. 3 1/2 minutes
walk from the Stewart Island flight and ferry centres.
- We
do not operate through information centres or the New Zealand
I-Site Network.
- Some accommodation providers in Stewart Island and elsewhere only work exclusively with a few operaters and not with all operators, irrespective of the quality of tours or value offered to you.
- We do not operate through any so called
"Visitor Centre", Booking Office or "Information
Centre" in Bluff or Stewart, including the flight/ferry centres
or competitor booking offices. Please note there is no independent
Visitor Centre, independent Visitor Information Centre or independent Island Information
Centre in Stewart Island. |
