A wilderness adventure from Stewart Island's west to east coast. Enjoy a stunning scenic flight to Mason Bay beach from Oban, hike across the dune area and wetlands to Freshwater River, for a water taxi ride along the primeval Freshwater River back to Oban.

Kiwi, Dunes & Beach
Get off the beaten track and immerse yourself in the true wilderness of Stewart Island on our fabulous, three day overnight hike to Mason Bay. Fly into Mason Bay, explore the dune and beach area, historic sites, hike across the wetland to Freshwater River for a water taxi ride along the primeval Freshwater River, back to Oban. All meals, snacks, hut / camp fees included as well as flight to Mason Bay, water taxi from Freshwater River.
